I feel blessed and excited to be beginning my sixth year teaching fifth grade at
St. Patrick! A little about me: after earning my Bachelor of Science in psychology from University of Illinois, I headed down to New Orleans to teach with a program called Teach For America for 3 years. I loved teaching so much (and missed the Midwest) that I moved back to Chicago and earned my teaching degree with endorsements in Language Arts and Social Sciences from DePaul University. I taught second grade in Chicago for three years, married my wonderful husband, Mike, and began a family. We have three busy children-Emily (20), Mikey (19), and Sarah (17). We moved to Mundelein 14 years ago to be closer to my family, and time has flown by. I enjoyed working at Fremont Intermediate School for five years before joining the wonderful staff at St. Patrick School.
